Is Twitter Dying?

As a social media platform, Twitter has more power than it may seem.

It is one of the few places where there are no censorship and the words can reach millions within minutes.

Twitter is the place where we can find other people in the industry to look up to and become more aware of issues going on around us.

Elon Musk, who has taken over as CEO and director at Twitter, has made some progress in reducing the headcount by 50%.

There has been a big drop in revenue in brands pausing their advertising on social media networks as civil society organizations have raised concerns over the direction of the company under Musk.

Twitter is working on increasing the character limit from 280 to 4,000 characters, according to a report from app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi and confirmed by Elon Musk in a tweet.

The company acquired Revue, a newsletter service with over a million users who monetized their Twitter follower base by building lists and giving out free content.

Elon Musk decided to shut down Revue at the end of January 2023, which sent shock waves across the world.

It was acquired by Twitter in January 2021 and it had been called a game-changer.

There is no way to know for sure if this is a planned process or if it’s just a coincidence.

However, I believe this was all a part of his master plan since he is one of the great businessmen in history and the richest man alive today.

It's too early for anyone to get quick conclusions about this whole thing.
